The zamak die-casting enables us to obtain pieces of different dimensions under the narrowest tolerances and with a weight varying from several grams to several kilos. Consequently, except in the case of particular requirements (e.g. threading and turning), mechanical processing is minimal, moreover, thanks to the alloy´s characteristics, processsing is facilitated and optimal qualitative results are obtained. The zinc alloys, moreover, are perfect for both galvanizing (nickel, chrome, zincing, gilding, etc.) as well as for painting (powder, liquid and cataphoresis) with excellent esthetic qualities and corrosion resistance.

It gives the best results in case of temperatures ranging between 100 and 150 C°The composition and characteristics of the two alloys - Zama 12 and Zama 15 - are summerized here below. The copper percentage, greater in Zama 12, besides having a fluid effect, allows both greater hardness and resistance to traction. Furthermore thanks to the high fluidity and the low melting point , the narrowest tolerance limits are easily kept as well as extremely complex shapes, otherwise not obtainable with any other alloy at a high melting point.

The items made of zamak are very resistant to the atmospheric corrosion because, thanks to the action of carbon dioxide and the humidity of the air, insoluble zinc salts are formed upon the surfaces. The high technology and the great professionalism grant the achievement of all the pre-arranged aims by exploiting the transformation technics in order to always satisfy the customers´ needs..
